@davillain: I'm north of LA by about 5 hours. Would never live there.
My brother lives there and is just outside of the fire zones.
@davillain: yup, thanks for asking. My county up here in Northern California burned down a few times in the last 10 years, but this year we are [so far] doing OK.
My sister used to live in an area the fires are at, thankful she moved up here where I am at.
I feel for those folks down there. It's a scary thing to spend weeks with a smokey sky, ash raining down, and a perpetually orange horizon as fires rage. Real end-of-the-world vibes.
@Chutebox: Heard about the drones, never saw any lights here up in Canada where I live though. Was expecting to see the four horsemen.
@mrbojangles25: Not trying to get precise location, but whereabouts in northern CA?
Just went to Bodega Bay for Christmas break. My favorite place!
Sonoma County, so pretty damn near where you went 😁I love Bodega Bay, that whole section of coast, really, and the forest from Jenner to Guerneville and Sebastopol. Great area.

Spud Point crab in bodega is some good stuff

Drive by that all the time going to Bodega Head.

Two words: crab sandwich.
Love those Amazon guys where leave a note telling them to hide it behind a bin. And the guy is like "**** that, I'm putting it directly in front of the bin as ad to any would be thief's"
Yeah, seen enough vids of people just brazenly walking up before delivery driver has even left.

When it comes to ordering anything from Amazon, I always request to drop off my packages one of those Amazon Locker drop boxes so I can pick it up myself and not directly deliver them to my house.
Finally got my ducks in a row with my bathroom. Have a construction company coming in who'll tear down drywall and re-frame the bathroom, hang new drywall and have plumbing inspected and on point so that my tiling company can come in and put up my oversized tile (24x48) throughout walls and shower.
@nod_eclipse_: Give myself to a fictional character?
Nah, life's to short to join a cult, you have fun though.
I'm a spiritual person but I will admit, I enjoy seeing religious zealots go crazy on various stuff behind closed eyes in any movies/TV just to see what Humanity has to offer.
You only have to read a few excerpts from the Bible to realise its pure science fiction.

Ah, man, yeah. Doesn't beat chowder for me, but still yums. Miss Cali. Haven't been back in a loooong while.

That's pretty neat. Can't wait to see it in the next Jurassic Park movie 😁
Go Scotland!
Was pretty disappointed as a kid, for the mechanical downgrade it was from Everything or Nothing, including combat and driving, but don't ask me to describe the specifics twenty years later.
He sounded much too old.
@girlusocrazy: I showed the Ninjago game to my son and said would you play this and he was like yeah so I bought it.
Most of the games were $10 or under and when I see a bargain I can't pass it up for better or worse 🤣
I also bought an Atari 2600 and had to replace my old Wii U as a friend borrowed it like 18 months ago and lost it (how do you lose a console) but he paid for the replacement one so it's all good.
This reporter is an idiot.
"People just kind of walking, kind of dazed, looking through their homes, trying to find anything they can that may have survived the fire. Again, the good news at this point is we look right across here at a charred American flag that somehow was not burned. It is blackened, but it is still there."
Who cares about the flag? How is that good news?
@last_lap:That's a coincidence, the game's story is about a father and son
Nice get on the consoles too. I also lent my Wii U for someone to play BotW when I got a Switch and didn't see it back for 2 years, but when I did I had new Virtual Console games on it so that was nice.
@girlusocrazy: Yeah I'm currently searching on Ebay for a copy of Bayonetta 2 and BotW.
Bayo is generally cheap around $25 for a copy whereas BotW is $50+ and I'm not sure I want to fork out that much for it.
So the only console I don't have now is a NES, as mine broke about 3yrs ago, so on the look out for one of those to complete my console collection.

Quick question. Don't read too much into it, just curious. In your opinion, is Islam 'pure science fiction'?
@nod_eclipse_: I'm not religious as stated earlier. Not sure how much clearer I can be.
If you are, then good for you, but some of us don't really want to hear it, now maybe you should respect others and take that talk to a forum of other like minded individuals.

That's not what I asked, though. You implied Christianity is 'pure science fiction', which is your right to think.
My question is, do you also think Islam is 'pure science fiction'? Simple yes or no will suffice.
